The first edition of the Mubi Fest Buenos Aires will be held at ArtHaus from September 15 to 17.
Seven films will be part of the first edition of the Mubi Fest Buenos Airesthe film festival organized by the streaming platform that will take place between September 15 and 17 at the ArtHaus Contemporary Creation Center.
The festival, which has the “objective of transcending the borders of streaming and as part of a regional initiative,” according to Mubi in a press release, will have seven films, including the debut of Lucrecia Martel, “The swamp” and the premiere in Argentina of the short film by Pedro Almodovar, “Strange way of life”with ethan hawke and Peter Pascalwhich the Spanish director premiered this year at the Cannes Film Festival.

The first edition of Mubi Fest Buenos Aireswhich will be held at ArtHaus, located at Bartolomé Miter 434 in downtown Buenos Aires, will screen the British “Aftersun”of charlotte wells, which has already passed through the Argentine billboard; the hong kong girl Chungking Expressa 1994 film by the great Chinese director Wong Kar Wai; and the Belgian film closeof lukas dontSpecial Jury Prize at Cannes in 2022.
In addition, the Americans will be seen “Crimes Of The Future”of David Cronenberga lucid dystopia about modes of consumption starring Vigo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux and Kristen Stewart with avant-première (premiere) in 2022 in Cannes and and “Tickets”of Ira Sachswhich premiered at Sundance in January of this year.
As announced by the film platform, the festival is part of a regional initiative for Latin America, which in addition to Buenos Aires will also take place in Bogotá, Mexico City, Santiago de Chile and San Pablo before the end of the year.
