Kevin Costner and his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner are going their separate ways after a long-term relationship and are bickering over money. At the end of last week, the Hollywood star was able to win.

In tears, Christine Baumgartner argued in a Los Angeles court that she needed more money from her husband, actor Kevin Costner. The former designer wanted $175,057 a month in child support from Costner. To date, she has been getting $129,000 a month. Costner originally argued he only wanted to pay his mother $60,000.
But not she, but her husband gets right. According to “TMZ” he does not have to transfer Baumgartner $175,057, nor the original amount of $129,000. Instead, Costner was ordered to pay $63,209 a month in child support. A far smaller sum than Baumgartner had demanded. For the mother, the result should be a disappointment. But Kevin Costner was also resigned.

During the court hearings, Costner cracked a joke at the other side. Asked if he had laughed, he replied to “Access Hollywood” in front of the building: “No, I didn’t. It’s a terrible situation, but that’s the way it is,” he said. He feels sorry for his estranged wife. “It feels so bad that we’re talking about someone I love on the other side,” he added. “I just can’t do it,” he explained. “Of course” he still loves Baumgartner after the breakup, he admitted.
Baumgartner filed for divorce from the “Yellowstone” star last May. She and Costner have three children together, 16-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes and 13-year-old Grace.
