The actress Sandra Hüller (“Toni Erdmann”) has a remarkable comic talent. In an interview with the “Hollywood Reporter”, she explains how humor works best for her.
According to her own statements, actress Sandra Hüller likes to play unintentionally funny scenes. “I think I’m more accidentally funny,” said the 45-year-old, who was born in Thuringia, to the US magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”. “I’m funnier when something goes wrong. When I’m really trying to do something and it just doesn’t work.”
On the other hand, she is less interested in reproducing punch lines, the actress explained. “If I know the end of the joke, I get bored.”
For her role in the tragic comedy “Toni Erdmann” Hüller received the European Film Prize, the German Film Prize and the Bavarian Film Prize, among others. In this year’s Cannes Film Festival winning film, ‘Anatomy of a Case’, she plays a writer who faces trial after the death of her partner. “Anatomy of a Case” starts in German cinemas on November 2nd.
