US singer Joe Jonas (34, “Sucker”), who has been married to British actress Sophie Turner (27, “Game of Thrones”) since 2019, wants to divorce.
According to court documents in Miami Dade County, Florida, Jonas filed for the dissolution of the marriage on Tuesday. The couple’s spokesman did not initially respond to a request from the German Press Agency. According to US media reports, Jonas claimed in the application that the marriage had broken down beyond repair.
The Jonas Brothers frontman and the actress have two young daughters, born in 2020 and 2022. Jonas and Turner got engaged in 2017 and then said yes twice in 2019 – in May in Las Vegas and in July in France.
In 2005, Joe founded the Jonas Brothers with his brothers Kevin and Nick. The group broke up in 2013, but made a comeback six years later with the album Happiness Begins. The brothers pursued solo careers and appeared in front of the film cameras. The trio is currently on tour again in the USA.
