Netflix presented the first preview of “The business of pain”movie starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evansand directed by david yates.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Evan Hughes, which investigates the real case of the Inys company and its shady business practices. In his book, Hughes reveals how the company took advantage of the opioid crisis, and began selling fentanyl-laced drugs as pain relievers. They also applied a series of maneuvers to try to sell a greater amount of medicines to a greater number of people.


What The Business of Pain is about
According to the synopsis, the plot follows a single mother who has just lost her job. Desperate to support her sickly daughter, she agrees to work at a failing pharmaceutical company and becomes a fairly successful sales agent. The person who changes Liza Drake’s life is Pete Brenner (Evans), a persuasive man who is apparently willing to do anything for money.

The distribution is completed with andy garcia (The Godfather III), like the billionaire doctor Jack Neel who developed the painkiller Lonafán. He is also Liza’s boss at the Zanna company. On the other hand, Catherine O’Hara (Home Alone) brings a touch of humor to the plot as Jackie, Liza’s mother, who also becomes a saleswoman for Zanna.
The Business of Pain arrives on Netflix on October 27.
