Actor and heartthrob Elyas M’Barek is enjoying anonymity after moving to the USA. “In New York I’m just Elyas, and that’s nice,” the 41-year-old told the news portal “Watson” on Thursday. “Most people there don’t know me, I can ride the subway normally and have a largely anonymous life.”
Since the move, the “Fack ju Göhte” star has also been receiving more inquiries or offers in English. “If I can now put out some feelers in America, then that will be a bonus and exciting and new,” reported M’Barek. “But there was no reason for me to move. Then I would have moved to Los Angeles and not gone to New York.” M’Barek is married to model and actress Jessica Riso, who comes from New York – according to her own statement, the Munich native’s “absolute favorite city”.
