Goosebumps: The Seriesthe shocking new production inspired by the writer’s Scholastic bestsellers R.L. Stinewill make its debut in Disney+ on October 13. From Disney Branded Television and Sony Pictures Television, the 10-episode series will premiere the first five as part of the celebrations of Halloween, from Disney+ and then, one new episode per week. New images and a preview of the series were also released today.

What Goosebumps: The Series is about
Immersing viewers in a world of mystery and suspense, Goosebumps: The Series revolves around a group of five high school students who embark on a dark and twisted journey to investigate the tragic death, three decades ago, of a teenager named Harold Biddle, while discovering dark secrets from their parents’ past.

Published by Scholastic, Goosebumps is one of the best-selling book series of all time, with more than 400 million books printed in 32 languages. The new series takes elements from five of the most popular books for children ages 8 to 12: Say Cheese and Die! (The smile of death); The Haunted Mask The Cuckoo Clock of Doom; Go Eat Worms! (Go eat worms); and Night of the Living Dummy.
Goosebumps: The series stars Justin Long (Barbarian) and Rachael Harris (Lucifer), along with Zack Morris (Neighborhood people), Isa Briones (Star Trek: Picard), Miles McKenna (Guilty Party), Ana Yi Puig (Gossip Girl) and Will Price (The Equalizer).
Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets Returns) and Rob Letterman (Pokémon: Detective Pikachu) developed the series and serve as executive producers along with Hilary Winston (Community); Neal H. Moritz (Fast and Furious franchise); Iole Lucchese (Clifford: The Big Red Dog), from Scholastic Entertainment; Pavun Shetty (The Boys); Conor Welch (Platonic); Caitlin Friedman (Quiet Lake), Scholastic Entertainment; Erin O’Malley (New Girl); and Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives). James Eagan (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Nick Adams (BoJack Horseman) serve as co-executive producers.
