Godzilla series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” presents its first preview

The Apple TV+ and Legendary series Monsterverse stars Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell and Anna Sawai.

AppleTV+ presented the first trailer for its long-awaited Godzilla television series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

The project stars the father and son duo formed by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell (who play the same character at different ages), along with Anna Sawai, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski. The trailer also features John Goodman making a cameo reprising his role from Kong: Skull Island.

What Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is about

The official description reads: “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that devastated San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that the monsters are real, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two brothers who follow in their father’s footsteps to discover the his family’s connection to the secret organization. known as Monarch. The clues lead them to the world of monsters and eventually down the rabbit hole until they reach army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt and Wyatt Russell), which takes place in the 1950s and half a century later, where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga, spanning three generations, reveals buried secrets and the ways in which epic, momentous events can impact our lives.”

Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise began with godzilla 2014, continued with Kong: Skull Island of 2017, Godzilla: King of the Monsters of 2019 and Godzilla Vs. Kong of 2021. After this Apple TV+ series, the next film in the franchise is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empirewhich is scheduled to premiere on April 12 of next year.

The 10-episode series premieres worldwide on Friday, November 17, with two episodes, followed by one episode every Friday until January 12.
