“I entered menopause at 31,” reveals Sylvie Meis (43) in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”. “Because of my cancer drugs, which I have been taking since I got breast cancer in 2009, I went through menopause twelve years ago,” explains the Dutch woman.
“The heat flashes that women my age are still experiencing are behind me. I can no longer get pregnant and have respected this finality,” continued Meis. The presenter was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2009. The tumor was surgically removed, then she underwent supportive chemotherapy. Today it is considered cancer-free.
With her ex-husband Rafael van der Vaart (38), the Dutch woman has their son Damián (15). After eight years of marriage, they divorced in 2013. In September 2020, the presenter married the artist Niclas Castello (42).
