Aerosmith has been forced to postpone part of his farewell tour after frontman Steven Tyler suffered an injury to the vocal cords.

The rock band began its extensive series of performances in North America, called “Peace Out”in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 2, and have since played in Pittsburgh and Elmont.

“It pains me to say that I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” Tyler said in a statement on social media yesterday (September 11).
“I suffered damage to my vocal cords during Saturday’s show which caused subsequent bleeding. “We will have to postpone some dates to be able to return and give them the performance they deserve.”

Last year, Aerosmith canceled some of his Las Vegas residency dates after Tyler entered a drug rehabilitation center.
An emblem of North American rock and the creator of numerous hits, the band was formed in Boston in 1970. Its members are Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford. According to the specialized site Variety, Kramer will not be part of this tour to “focus all his attention on his family and his health.”
