Oktoberfest started this weekend. Hours before the official start, Wiesen fans were waiting to get in so they could get the best seats. Many celebrities are among the six million visitors expected this year.
The great-grandson of the last Bavarian king, Franz Duke of Bavaria, SPD federal leader Lars Klingbeil as well as the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder and his deputy Hubert Aiwanger were among those who attended the tapping in the council box of the Schottenhamel tent on Saturday. Musicians, actors and models also came to the Oktoberfest on the first day of the festival.
“Almauftrieb” celebrates its 25th anniversary at Oktoberfest
Probably the most important celebrity event, the “Almauftrieb”, takes place on Sunday. For the 25th anniversary of the event, in addition to Scooter frontman HP Baxxter, the actresses Mariella Ahrens, Luna Schweiger and Lilly Krug as well as regular guest Giulia Siegel, there are also stars from FC Bayern Munich (and former stars like Hasan Salihamidžic) and three ex-partners Boris Becker: Barbara Becker, Lilly Becker and his ex-fiancée Sandy Meyer-Wölden on the guest list.
The “Almauftrieb” was never intended to be a star event, as organizer Philip Greffenius emphasizes. “The idea back then was to create a cross-generational event,” he told the German Press Agency in Munich. Even today, only a fraction of the 1,000 guests are celebrities. “But of course they get the most attention.”
The “Almauftrieb” is also an important date for influencers, says Greffenius. For example, only people with more than a million followers are allowed to sit at the table of the Instagram and Facebook operator Meta. “
Cathy Hummels’ almost 700,000 followers are not enough for this. Of course, the 35-year-old still comes to the party. Actor Ralf Moeller has also already announced his visit. Moeller said he assumes that his friend Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hollywood star and former governor of California, will not miss the Oktoberfest either. The star line-up is likely to grow significantly in the coming days.
