On Wednesday Sonja Zietlow goes on air with a new format. She has never been a participant – but she doesn’t rule it out either.
Moderator Sonja Zietlow (55) finds the idea of switching sides and taking part as a candidate in “Jungle Camp” or her new show “The Traitors” appealing.
“I think now, after all these years, if I had been asked and they had offered me a lot of money, I might even have gone in,” she told the German Press Agency, referring to the “Jungle”. “I might have done that, because now I just stand by who I am and what I do. But don’t come to that.”
Regarding the show “The Traitors,” she said she watched the show first. “After I saw the first season, I would say: Yes, I’ll take part.” In the reality show, 16 celebrities are housed in a French castle – three of them play murderous “traitors”, the others have to unmask the real perpetrators as “loyalists”.
“But I don’t think I would like to be a traitor,” said Zietlow. “The bad thing is: I couldn’t lie to people’s faces for so long. I’m really too empathetic, I’d feel too sorry for people.” On the other hand: “I don’t think I would survive long as a loyalist because everyone would think: I’m definitely the traitor,” she said.
