September 19th is not an easy day for Simone Ballack. On Instagram she remembers her late son Emilio on his 21st birthday.
Two years ago, Simone Ballack (47) suffered a serious loss. Her son Emilio died in a quad bike accident in Portugal in August 2021, aged just 18. Today, Tuesday, Simone and Michael Ballack’s (46) son would have turned 21. On this occasion, the 47-year-old remembers her deceased child.
“How can one endure such days?”
“Happy birthday to heaven, Emilio. Miss you so much,” says the post, which also shows two photos of Emilio as children. One of them shows Simone with her children in traditional costume at the Oktoberfest, the other shows Emilio as a baby in her arms. “How are you supposed to endure such days? I don’t know… Everything goes on… with or without us! Whether you laugh or cry – nothing feels right. Today you would have been 21 years old…” She tries to be grateful “for the good things in my life, but it doesn’t always work,” ends Simone Ballack’s post.
The 47-year-old has two other sons with her ex-husband Michael Ballack – Jordi (18) and Louis (22). Simone Ballack recently had a new partner at her side after her marriage to her second husband Andreas Mecky (50). At the beginning of August she presented her new love – the hotel millionaire Heiko Grote (55) – to the public through an interview with the magazine “Bunte”.
