Sophia Thiel (28) has been single again for four months. She was in a relationship with her ex-partner Raphael Birchner for three and a half years. She is currently doing “very well” with her new relationship status, as she told the news agency spot on news during Cathy Hummels’ (35) Oktoberfest stroll on Monday (September 18th) in Munich.
The end of love has “begun”
Thiel went on to reveal that separating was “of course not an overnight decision.” The end of love had already begun “a year and a half before,” she explained: “It was of course very difficult. So it was also a difficult time for me.” It was a “upheaval” because the couple also shared an apartment in Berlin. “And none of that was planned,” she recalled.
At the moment, Thiel can say with his head held high: “Now I feel very, very liberated and I’m just happy that I’m getting this new chapter alone in Berlin.”
Dating apps “already very difficult”
When it comes to dating via apps, Thiel hasn’t had “that much luck” so far. “So there are sometimes exceptional cases. Even in my circle of friends, my friends met their true love through Tinder,” reported Thiel. However, she finds online dating “very difficult”.
