After being diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, Joe Exotic, 58, has apparently been moved to another prison. . Exotic, who was previously in a prison in Fort Worth, Texas, is now in a Federal Medical Center near the small town of Butner in North Carolina. The prison has, among other things, a facility that specializes in the treatment of cancer patients.

The former operator of a private zoo became internationally known through the Netflix documentary series “Tiger King”. At the beginning of November, Joseph Maldonado-Passage, which is his real name, made his illness public. In a letter, he had stated that he had been diagnosed with “aggressive cancer” after a prostate biopsy. Results of further tests are still pending.
Maldonado-Passage was sentenced to 22 years imprisonment in 2019, among other things, for attempted murder. The second season of the documentary series “Tiger King” recently started on Netflix.
