The cause of his death was “acute intoxication due to the combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines”, according to the Coroner’s Office.


On July 31 at 11:30 a.m., Oakland police officers responded to an emergency call and Cloud was pronounced dead at the scene. Cloud had been dealing with the passing of his father, who was buried a week before his death.
“The only comfort we have is knowing that Angus has now been reunited with his father, who was his best friend. “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this alone in silence,” Cloud’s family said in a statement.

Cloud quickly rose to fame with his role as Fez, a lovable drug dealer, in “Euphoria” of HBO. It was his first role in Hollywood and he later appeared in music videos, such as “All Three” by Noah Cyrus, “Cigaretts” by Juice Wrld and “Mamiii” by Karol G and Becky G. Cloud had appeared in the 2021 drama “North Hollywood ” and in the 2023 film “The Line” before his death. Her posthumous credits include the films “Your Lucky Day,” “Freaky Tales” and an untitled monster movie from the directors of “Scream VI.”
Cloud was also expected to reprise his role in the third season of “Euphoria,” which has not yet begun production. “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud,” HBO said in a statement. “He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family.
