Visit to Germany: Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit come

Last but not least, meetings between the couple and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz are planned. The two royals are accompanied by a business delegation.

The Norwegian Crown Prince Couple is coming to Germany in November. As the Norwegian royal family announced on Friday, the trip is planned for November 6th to 9th. Crown Prince Haakon (50) will then first visit Munich and Hamburg before Crown Princess Mette-Marit (50) will also be there at the end in Berlin.

Among other things, the couple is scheduled to meet with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. In addition to a business delegation, several cabinet members will also be traveling with the royals, including Economics Minister Jan Christian Vestre and Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt.

According to the court, the trip is intended to strengthen the close and good relations between the Federal Republic and the Scandinavian non-EU country as well as the equally close economic cooperation between the two countries. Germany is Norway’s most important partner in Europe, one of the largest trading partners ever and a like-minded cooperation partner in promoting democracy, the rule of law and human rights.
