The University of Melbourne is hosting a three-day “Swiftposium” from February 11th to 13th, 2024. The hybrid conference for scientists will focus on the singer’s global cultural and economic influence.

The conference aims to create a “critical dialogue about Swift’s popularity and its profound impact on a range of topics such as gender, fandom, popular culture, literature, economics, the music industry and more.” To organize the three-day event, scientists from seven universities in Australia and New Zealand came together.
Fittingly, the academic conference takes place shortly before Swift’s “Eras” tour kicks off. This starts on February 16, 2024 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. , also want to extend an official invitation to Taylor Swift personally.
