Actress: Salma Hayek immortalized with a star on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame”

Salma Hayek has now been immortalized in the middle of Hollywood. The 55-year-old actress unveiled a star on the famous “Walk of Fame”.

Hollywood star Salma Hayek (55, “Frida”) now has a permanent place in the film metropolis. On Friday evening (local time) on the famous “Walk of Fame”, the native Mexican unveiled a star plaque with her name in front of cheering fans.

She recalled an incident that made her very scared years ago. During a visit with friends on the tourist mile, she was attacked by a man with a knife. Nobody helped them, said Hayek. She had only moved from Mexico to the United States a few years earlier.

The beginning in Hollywood was difficult, nobody wanted her, but she didn’t give up. “Find something you love,” said Hayek in her address. “I stayed because I love the art of film.”

Hayek can currently be seen in the comic book adaptation “Eternals”. In the film by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao (“Nomadland”) she embodies the leader Ajak. Zhao spoke as the guest speaker. Hayek thanked her for letting her play a superhero. She waited for this all her life.

Hayek was accompanied to the ceremony by her husband and daughter. She has been married to the French businessman François-Henri Pinault since 2009. They live in London with their daughter Valentina.

On the famous sidewalk in the heart of Hollywood, Hayek received the 2709th plaque. Most recently she had made films such as the action flick “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” and the family drama “House of Gucci”.
