A luxury villa becomes available in northern Italy. George Clooney reportedly wants to sell his Lake Como property. The deal is likely to bring the Hollywood star a big profit.
George Clooney apparently wants to get rid of his luxury villa on Lake Como. According to media reports, the property in the municipality of Laglio directly on the shore of the northern Italian lake, where the 62-year-old actor has stayed for two decades, is for sale. This is currently reported by the Italian magazine “Oggi”. The paper relies on a real estate agency that specializes in high-priced houses and properties in the region. The newspaper “Corriere della Sera” speculated on Friday that the proceeds would be up to 100 million euros.
The Hollywood star bought the “Villa Oleandra” 20 years ago – reportedly for eight million euros. In recent years he has stayed there more often with his wife Amal and their two twins. In addition to Hollywood celebrities, the guests also included former US President Barack Obama and his family. Unfortunately for the Clooneys, tourists and paparazzi keep trying to get a closer look at the area from the lake. The police have therefore set up a kind of exclusion zone.
George Clooney and his family are moving to the south of France
According to media reports, the reason for the Clooney family’s plans to emigrate is that they now prefer to stay in the south of France, where they have owned a country house for some time. There have been rumors about the celebrity couple saying goodbye to Lake Como several times in the past. However, real estate agent Yasemin Baysal told “Oggi”: “This time it’s true.” There is already a very interested potential buyer.
