Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess: Sweet video about their engagement

Actor Brian Austin Green (50) and professional dancer Sharna Burgess (38) are engaged – since June. The couple announced this in a podcast on Friday (September 22nd). The two also published a video on their Instagram pages in which the children of the patchwork family were also involved.

Surprise birthday party proposal

The “Dancing with the Stars” dancer from Australia revealed that the engagement was months ago. During this time they discussed how best to convey the message of love to the public. They have now apparently found the solution in an interview and Instagram video.

Brian Austin Green said he asked for her hand in marriage during a surprise birthday party Burgess threw in June. He thought that this was the perfect place for it. The “Beverly Hills, 90210” star asked his loved one upstairs during the party. Burgess thought something was wrong, but as he led her into her bedroom, the thought briefly occurred to her: “This is a moment.” And she was right: Green called his children over, including his seven-year-old son Journey River, who was holding a red Cartier box. The actor then took the box. As he opened it, he asked Burgess, “Are you going to spend the rest of your life with us?” She emphasized in the podcast that she was completely surprised by this question. But: “Of course I said yes,” she said, adding that it was the “most perfect and beautiful moment” because the children were there.

Now the “second half” of his life begins

The actor said he felt like the engagement would begin the “second half” of his life. “I had this idea that the kids should be a part of this because they are a part of everything,” Green said. The youngsters were also involved. In a video, sons Noah, Bodhi, Journey and Zane place their hands on Green’s hand. At the end, Burgess added her hand, showing off the engagement ring. “Our newest chapter,” the couple captioned the clip.

The couple lives in a large blended family. Because Brian Austin Green has a total of five sons. His firstborn, Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green (20), comes from his relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil (54), whom he met on the set of “Beverly Hills, 90210”. He has three sons with his ex-wife, US actress Megan Fox (38): Noah Shannon (10), Bodhi Ransom (9) and Journey River (7). The two were an on-off couple from 2004 and were married from 2010 to 2021. In 2020, Green met the “Dancing with the Stars” dancer. They appeared in public for the first time during the season 30 premiere in September 2021 and kissed at the end of their first show. Their son Zane was born in June 2022.
