Abba star Björn Ulvaeus still remembers his meetings with children’s book author Astrid Lindgren. Now he looks back on it.
Abba star Björn Ulvaeus (78) still looks back fondly on his encounters with Astrid Lindgren (1907-2002). The writer once said to him: “You’re a little Michel, aren’t you?” She was referring to her character, the rascal Michel from Lönneberga.
Ulvaeus first met the famous Swedish children’s book author when he was still relatively early in his career as a musician. A weekly magazine brought them both together at his request, Ulvaeus reported to the German Press Agency in Cologne.
He remembers Lindgren as extremely wise and at the same time full of humor. “It’s not often that you meet a person who makes you feel like they see right through you – but she was that kind of person.”
