Abundance of film festivals throughout the country. The 14th Cinemigrante is ending in Capital, where talks, conferences and performances of collective readings parallel to the films are relevant. On the 28th the Green Film Festival returns, free at the San Martín, with “The wave without borders” (pleasant adventures of the surfer brothers Joaquin and Julián Azulay through the South Atlantic), “Quma y las bestias” (educational paleontology project) and, among other titles, Boy Olmi’s records “Jane & Payne” (meeting of scholars and protectionists Jane Goodall and Roger Payne) and “What’s Forward” (conversations with Doug Tompinks). And on the 29th, the 9th. Buenos Aires/Paris Short Film Show, with films from Argentina and France. It begins at the Alliance Française in Buenos Aires, and ends on October 13 at the Paris headquarters of the Alliances Françaises.
Meanwhile, in the rest of the country, with strong support from Incaa, interesting exhibitions and festivals are being held. On Thursday, the 27th Salta Film Week began, which includes some foreign titles, such as “The Quiet Girl.” A rarity, between Friday and Saturday, the film exhibition with an environmental perspective Entre Islas, held on Martín García Island and el Tigre. And on the 29th, the Entre Glaciares Festival, simultaneous between El Calafate and El Chaltén, the 9th. Documentalists Meeting in La Rioja and the 7th. Light of the Desert, by Avellaneda. Incaa’s agenda of exhibitions and festivals for the rest of the year is even more extensive and federal. A way to recover the habit of going to the cinema, and showing cinema, which had been badly damaged by the pandemic.
