The second day of the hearing in the case of Britney Spears’ guardianship is eagerly awaited. The singer has apparently already got some good news.
The tension is high before the second hearing in the court in Los Angeles, at which Britney Spears will also testify again. Her ardent fans and members of the Free Britney movement hope that Spears’ father, Jamie, as her guardian, could run into problems. Only at the end of June did the singer testify that she would like to sue her family.
Britney Spears: First Success Before Hearing
According to the US magazine “Page Six” Spears was able to get a first, small victory. Because after her previous lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III., Had resigned last week, she is now to be represented by a new one. Mathew Rosengart has boxed numerous superstars in precarious situations in the past, including Ben and Casey Affleck and Steven Spielberg.
“Britney had several conversations with Mathew in the past few days,” a source told Page Six. “She was worried about what would happen after [Samuel D. Ingham III] when her attorney resigned, but Mathew has assured her that she will be in good hands when the judge appoints him. He’s been keeping an eye on her case for a while and thought her testimony last month was very convincing. He will be in court tomorrow, “said the media report.
Previous attorney was furious
According to “TMZ”, her former lawyer Ingham was outraged that his client told the court that she did not know that she could object to the guardianship. Fans blamed the defense attorney for never filing such a petition.
He in turn asserted that she only wanted to take action against her father, but not against the guardianship in general. In addition to Ingham, Spears’ longtime manager Larry Rudolph also resigned. The reason he gave was that Britney no longer wanted to perform, so he had nothing more to do.
The LA court hearing begins at 1:30 p.m. local time.
