Russell Brand (48) has been facing serious rape allegations since mid-September. The London police are now said to have received further reports. Scotland Yard announced last Monday (September 25th) that these were again allegations of sexual assault in London and other parts of the country. The police will now investigate, they say.
More and more women are reporting to the police
Brand is apparently not named in the report. The Briton is currently facing massive allegations of rape and abuse following the broadcast of a TV documentary entitled “Russell Brand: In Plain Sight”. As part of a joint investigation, the Sunday Times, the Times and the TV show Dispatches published allegations from four anonymous women who accused Brand of sexual assault, emotional and sexual abuse and sexual violence.

According to media reports, after the documentary was broadcast, other women came forward with similar allegations. Brand responded with a video before the allegations were published. In it he said that he had lived “very, very promiscuously” and had always openly admitted this. The 48-year-old last spoke up last Friday (September 22nd) in which he reported on his “extraordinary and worrying week”. But he also thanked those who “questioned the information that was presented to you.”
