Charlène von Monaco: She comments on the separation rumors herself

Charlène of Monaco gave one of her rare interviews. In it she also talks about the rumors that keep circulating about her and Albert.

Charlène of Monaco has been in the headlines again and again recently. Rumors of an end to Albert’s marriage made the rounds on social media and overshadowed her public appearances. Most recently, Prince Albert fueled the separation rumors by partying with an ex-affair and his illegitimate son.

The princess also noticed this and so she vented her feelings in an interview with the South African medium “News24”. She particularly criticizes the fact that people from outside are constantly looking for signs that their relationship is failing.

“There are thousands of photos of me at an event. One is chosen where I’m not smiling or looking down. Then they say I look awkward or unhappy. I feel like they’re doing a certain thing Want to create a narrative,” she says.

Charlène of Monaco: She finds the separation rumors “demoralizing”

The princess also used the interview to deny the rumors once again: “It seems to me as if some media or people want to see that we are separating soon.” She finds the rumors “grueling and exhausting.” She emphasized that “everything is fine” in her relationship with Albert.

In the spring of 2021, there was speculation for the first time about the couple’s separation: Charlène had traveled to her home country of South Africa and stayed there for several months. It later became known that this had not happened voluntarily. According to media reports, Charlène contracted a severe ear, nose and throat infection that required multiple operations.

It was only months later that she returned to her family in Monaco; she had not been able to see her twins Jacques and Gabriella for a long time. But then she had to seek treatment again. A rehabilitation stay in a Swiss clinic was necessary before she could lead her usual life again in spring 2022.
