Stephen King praised sci-fi horror film no one can save you after its release on Hulu this month. In our region it is available in Star+.

The author, best known for writing horror classics such as “The Shining” and “Item”described the film as “brilliant” and “bold” in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“No one can save you: Brilliant, bold, enveloping, terrifying”King wrote. “You have to go back more than 60 years, to an episode of TWILIGHT ZONE called ‘The Invaders’ to find anything remotely similar. Truly unique.”

The film has caught the public’s attention for largely lacking dialogue.

What is it about? No one can save you.

Brynn (Kaitlyn Dever) is a creative and talented young woman who has been removed from her community. Lonely but always hopeful, Brynn finds solace within the walls of the house where she grew up, until one night she is awakened by strange sounds of supernatural intruders. What follows is an action-packed showdown between Brynn and a host of extraterrestrial beings that threaten her future and force her to deal with her past.

Tim White, Trevor White, Allan Mandelbaum with the writer and director Brian Duffield are producers of the psychological science fiction thriller scored by composer Joseph Trapanese. Kaitlyn Dever and Joshua Throne are executive produced.
