The concert summer at Burg Clam feels like it has just come to an end – and with 80,000 visitors it was the most successful in the 33-year history of the concert series. The first headliners for Clam 2024 have now been confirmed. It’s a musical double act on July 20, 2024 with the Bavarian trio “Sportfreunde Stiller” (“Applause, Applause”) and the Viennese rock band “Wanda” (“Bologna”, “Bussi Baby”).
“This has never happened before, two equal bands in one long concert afternoon and evening,” says organizer Michael Ehrenbrandtner, happy about his first coup. It is important to him that “there is no opening or main band, both bands are equal. Clam is predestined for festival-like concerts.” The Sportfreunde will definitely start (7 p.m.), followed by Marco Wanda and company. Salò and RAY.S will perform the supporting program.

“Wet memories”
It will be the second appearance at Clam for both bands, and actually the third for Sportfreunde. However, the planned appearance on July 20, 2017 did not take place. Heavy rain, lightning strikes and storms forced organizer Michael Ehrenbrandtner to cancel. “Our hearts are bleeding. We were so looking forward to this evening, in front of this wonderful backdrop,” said frontman Peter Brugger and colleagues via video message to the 7,000 fans who came. Exactly seven years later there is the opportunity to see each other again.
