After 16 years it’s over: Caren Miosga is leaving the news flagship in Erste. It has already been decided who will succeed her as “Tagesthemen” presenter.
Caren Miosga (54) will moderate her last “Tagesthemen” program on Thursday (October 5th). Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) did not announce on Thursday when her successor and previous ARD “Sportschau” presenter, Jessy Wellmer (43), would present her first show. Miosga is the longest-serving “Tagesthemen” presenter – she moderated the news flagship on Erste for 16 years.
Journalist Miosga will be the successor to political talker Anne Will (57), who presents her show after “Tatort” on the first on Sunday evenings. Will would like to move on to other projects, but what those are is not yet known.
