“He just pulled out a knife and stabbed someone in front of me,” said Amira Pocher about the cruel experience she had in the middle of the day in Austria when she was young. Accordingly, a man stabbed another right in front of her eyes. “I was splattered with his blood back then, my drawing portfolio was splattered with blood,” she explained.
Oliver Pocher: “I failed as a spouse”
It wasn’t enough that the young person witnessed the bloody incident; she also had to fear that she had become infected with hepatitis C. She had to be tested for months because she had come into contact with the victim’s blood. This was doubly problematic because her mother was expecting another child at the time. There was great concern that the disease would be passed on to the baby. “My mom was pregnant. I wasn’t allowed to get close to her because they were afraid of the unborn baby,” said Pocher.
Most recently, Amira and Oliver Pocher discussed topics in the podcast primarily related to separation and everyday life together. Oliver Pocher openly admitted that he did not want the separation. He now made it clear that he is still struggling with it with a love letter to Amira, which he published on Instagram for her birthday. He always congratulated her publicly, which is why he’s doing it this time too, although probably “for the last time.”
He wrote in the emotional post, which also included a series of family photos, that he had failed as a spouse. Over the last year he hasn’t been able to give her what she hoped for from him. “At some point the point came where you no longer felt love for me,” he writes. “Now I’m sitting alone at home, without you,” said Pocher.
