The Paris shows couldn’t have started more spectacularly. Ten days ago, Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing announced that around 50 pieces from his collection had been stolen. A driver was attacked when he wanted to bring the clothes from the airport to the company headquarters. The devil may wear Prada, but apparently he’s stealing Balmain. The sympathy from fans and colleagues was huge, but on Wednesday evening the drama-loving fashion world wanted to know above all: Will Rousteing’s team manage to re-produce the majority of the collection in little more than a week?
