Statista: Dissatisfaction with Armin Laschet is growing in North Rhine-Westphalia

In the current polls on the federal election, the CDU and Armin Laschet are doing well. In his home country NRW, however, people are rather dissatisfied with the work of the Prime Minister.

In April, Armin Laschet (CDU) prevailed against his rival for the Union’s candidacy for chancellor, Markus Söder (CSU). Shortly beforehand, dissatisfaction with the political work of the state government and prime minister rose sharply, according to North Rhine-Westphalia.

In the surveys of the previous months, the proportion of voters who were less or not at all satisfied with the political work in North Rhine-Westphalia was more or less stable, as this shows. At the beginning of April the mood seems to have turned. At this point in time, 69 percent of those surveyed told Infratest dimap that they were dissatisfied with the state government, compared to 64 percent for Prime Minister Armin Laschet. At the same time, the CDU has clearly deteriorated in the Sunday question for the state election.
