The cast of Harry Potter and JK Rowling They said goodbye with heartfelt words and remembering moments on the set with Michael Gambon after his death today at the age of 82.
The Irish-English actor replaced the deceased Richard Harris as Professor Albus Dumbledore in 2003 and starred in six of the eight Harry Potter films.

The author of Harry PotterRowling, paid tribute to Gambon, telling her followers on Twitter that she couldn’t believe he was playing one of her characters.
“The first time I saw him was in King Lear, in 1982, and if you had told me that this brilliant actor would appear in anything he had written, I would have thought you were crazy,” he said. “Michael was a wonderful man, as well as an exceptional actor, and I loved working with him”.

Jason Isaacs, the actor behind Lucius Malfoy, said that Gambon’s “complex, vulnerable and absolutely human” performance in The Singing Detective helped him appreciate the art of acting. He recalled her “fearless and dirty” sense of fun.
