Bill and Tom Kaulitz wrote “That’s My Jam” won a German television award. They prevailed against great competition.
The twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz recently had something to be happy about. Both won with their RTL+ music show “That’s My Jam with Bill & Tom Kaulitz” in the category “Best Entertainment Show”. When they accepted the award, the Tokio Hotel stars were visibly surprised. “Tom was just saying: ‘It’s nice that we’re nominated'”, explained Bill Kaulitz, referring to the strong competition and the little chance of victory.

The two competed against “The Giovanni Zarrella Show” (ZDF) and “Who steals the show from me?” (ProSieben) by and with Joko Winterscheidt. “We haven’t prepared anything, we’re totally overwhelmed,” Bill Kaulitz continued. It was a project close to the heart and we would also like to thank the team and all the candidates. The brothers and “The Voice” coaches hosted their own show for the first time and have now won a German television award for the first time.
RTL secured the rights to the NBC show “That’s My Jam”, which is hosted in the USA by talk show host Jimmy Fallon. The show started in this country on RTL+ on May 12th. In the first season, 24 celebrities duel alongside the twins in a series of music and knowledge games, including “Tatort” star Jasna Fritzi Bauer and actor Daniel Donskoy.
While Bill Kaulitz in particular is known for his colorful outfits – he wore glittering pink leather pants at Oktoberfest – the two appeared in elegant black outfits at the awards ceremony. While the singer wore a black shirt with floor-length trousers, Tom Kaulitz wore a classic black suit.
