Music: BTS singer Jungkook presents his second solo single

After the great success of his first single, superstar Jungkook has now followed up – and gotten support from a US rapper.

Singer Jungkook from the currently paused South Korean boy band BTS has released his second solo single. Two months after “Seven,” the English-language title “3D” was released on Friday. The piece emerged from a collaboration with US rapper Jack Harlow, who can also be seen in the accompanying music video for “3D”.

Jungkook’s new piece is reminiscent of the “earlier pop hits with an R&B touch (rhythm ‘n’ blues) from Western boy bands such as Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC,” wrote the British music magazine “NME”. 26-year-old Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS. He had great success with his first single on various charts in South Korea and abroad.

BTS are currently the most successful music group in South Korean pop music – the so-called K-Pop. With hits like “Dynamite” and “Permission to Dance,” Jin, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga and V stormed the charts. Last year they surprisingly announced that the members wanted to concentrate on solo projects for the time being. Three of them are currently doing their military service or alternative service. There is compulsory military service in South Korea.
