Til Schweiger held back from public appearances and interviews for a long time. After an Instagram video on the occasion of the Invictus Games, his fans were concerned about his appearance – he has now commented on this.
Til Schweiger recently promoted the Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry and taking place in Düsseldorf this year, on his Instagram profile. However, many of his fans were less interested in the sports games than in Schweiger’s appearance. The tenor was that he looked too thin, worn out and weak.
Til Schweiger: “I’m in great shape”
Schweiger responded a short time later with a slightly more advantageous photo on Instagram with a wink. Now he has spoken out in the “Bild” newspaper for the first time in a long time. The filmmaker presented his new “Barefoot Home” prefabricated houses in Stuttgart. According to the newspaper, he did not touch the food on site and did not drink alcohol. “I’m doing well, on a scale of 1 to 10 it’s a 10. I walk my dog for hours, either in Mallorca or in Berlin. I’m in great shape!” he told “Bild”.
But Schweiger didn’t want to speak openly. He remained silent about the allegations made against him by former employees. “I will speak out when I see fit,” he said. In “Spiegel” he was accused of abusing power and alcohol on the film set. The reports at the time prompted other actresses to take a stand. Nora Tschirner was one of the first to assure them of her solidarity. The actress declared that she “wouldn’t do this anymore.”
Complaints about movie sets
Martin Moszkowicz, head of the film production and distribution company Constantin, then told the “FAZ” that Tschirner never came to him. The actress then refuted this herself. “That’s not true,” she also explained on Instagram and revealed that she didn’t actually want to comment on herself, but rather generally initiate the debate. She is currently filming for a Constantin production and sent a message to the production after the first day of filming.
The message, which she also posted on Instagram, read: “You could use your high positions in the industry to help build a new, fair film system in which such conversations become unnecessary because times like this become more normal. Because the scientific fact is accepted that there are 24 hours in a day.” Jasna Fritzi Bauer explained to “Watson” that a lot still needs to be worked through. “The fish always stinks from the head,” she said. “This becomes particularly clear when it comes to occupational safety and labor law. We don’t have a union, and the working hours are incredibly often excessive,” said the actress. Quality often suffers from quantity.
