The singer Nicole is being honored for her social and humanitarian commitment. Other well-known celebrities have already received the Hans Rosenthal Honorary Award in the past.
Singer Nicole (58, “A Little Peace”) will receive this year’s Hans Rosenthal Honorary Prize on October 28th in Landau for her great social and humanitarian commitment. The Hans Rosenthal Foundation and the “Aktion Hilfe in Not” association announced this on Friday.
It was said that Nicole is committed to Welthungerhilfe and campaigns against child abuse. The Saarland native will donate the prize money of 10,000 euros to the Sterneneltern Saarland eV and the Saar children’s hospice and palliative team. The laudation will be given by comedian and actor Hape Kerkeling.
The organizations in the Palatinate have been awarding the award, named after quiz master Hans Rosenthal (1925-1987), since 2003. Previous award winners include Karlheinz Böhm (2003), Franz Beckenbauer (2010) and Rosi Mittermaier and Christian Neureuther (2020). The 13-person jury includes the former Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate Kurt Beck (SPD), as well as SWR state director Ulla Fiebig and the former “Rheinpfalz” editor-in-chief Michael Garthe.
Nicole, whose full name is Nicole Seibert, won the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in 1982 with “A Little Peace”.
