The Poncho Rionegrino exhibition will be inaugurated next Monday in October in the mountain town of El Bolsón, according to official sources reported today.
The event in which the creations of outstanding weavers will be exhibited will take place in the Andean city after passing through General Roca.
The exhibition will take place at the city’s Tourist Information Center and can be visited from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This exhibition is part of the actions carried out by the Secretary of State for Culture in conjunction with the different museums of the province “in order to strengthen and disseminate the Rio Negro cultural heritage,” as highlighted in a statement by the Government of the Patagonian province. .
They also pointed out that in this framework “the poncho created by the Mapuche loom expert, Ana Nahuelñir, will be exhibited.”
The ten prototypes that were selected in the call made by the Artisan Market for the creation of this provincial emblem will also be exhibited.
