German rocker: Lindenberg on the mend after surgery

When Udo Lindenberg suddenly had to cancel appointments, some fans were quite worried. Pain in his knee had put the panic rocker out of action. Now he is in touch after surviving the operation.

Singer Udo Lindenberg (77) is on the mend without complications after his knee operation. “Best doctor with gold hands, tailor-made work at its finest!” said the panic rocker, according to a statement on Monday. And not only that. The musician is also working hard on his recovery again.

According to his motto “It continues behind the knee joint,” Lindenberg is again training for fitness, stamina and suppleness. “In my opinion, the longest corridors will once again become a stage catwalk through the arenas – and off we go with the new turbo ball in the knee. The show must go on,” said the Hamburg resident.

The operation on the knee was necessary because an old sports injury had become acute. On the doctor’s advice, surgery should be carried out quickly. For example, Lindenberg recently canceled a visit to his exhibition at the Rostock Kunsthalle at the end of August.

But the peace and quiet shouldn’t last long when it comes to Lindenberg. Even before the operation, he had announced on Instagram: “So fans, keep cool, it’s just the calm before the next storm!” Lindenberg is already working on new projects for 2024, as his spokesman said on Monday.
