You are in the final of the ORF format this year “9 places – 9 treasures”. There they fight against Eisenberg in Burgenland, Hardegg in Lower Austria, Landskron Castle in Carinthia, Himmelsberg in Styria and Spullersee in Vorarlberg. The selection for the final on October 26th was announced today.
The format is celebrating its anniversary this year. “For ten years now, the show has been moving Austria and its people in front of an audience of millions and across national borders; it can no longer be separated from the national holiday and vice versa”, ORF General Director Roland Weißmann emphasized in the press materials. Last year, up to 1.074 million viewers with a market share of 32 percent were there when the Friedenskircherl at Stoderzinken in Styria won the Austria-wide race. Its predecessors were the Green Lake in Tragöß in Styria (2014), the Formarinsee and the Rote Wand in Vorarlberg (2015), the Tyrolean Kaisertal (2016), the Vorarlberg Körbersee (2017), the Schiederweiher in Upper Austria (2018), the Lünersee in Vorarlberg (2019), the Strutz Mill in Styria (2020) and the Wiegensee in Vorarlberg (2021).
“9 places – 9 treasures” can be seen live on ORF 2 on October 26th at 8:15 p.m. This time, prominent country sponsors are Thomas Stipsits, Fritz Strobl, Herbert Prohaska, Lukas Perman, Annemarie Moser, Susanne Höggerl, Franz Posch, Laura Bilgeri and Lilian Klebow. The band will provide the musical accompaniment for the evening “All attention”.
