Daniel Brühl: He posts sweet couple photos for his 13th anniversary

Actor Daniel Brühl (45) rarely gives insights into his private life. But he made an exception again for a very special occasion: he has been together with the psychologist Felicitas Rombold for 13 years. For the anniversary, he posted two pictures that show the couple looking very familiar.

Two pictures and a red heart

On his Instagram page with his wife. In one picture they lean their heads against each other, Felicitas Rombold hugs her husband and both look happily into the camera. In the second picture, the couple is posing in front of the sea. Brühl keeps his comment simple: he writes “13 years” in Spanish and adds a red heart.

New life in Spain

The couple now lives with their children in Brühl’s native Spain. In an interview with the magazine “Bunte” in July 2022, he explained the reasons for the move. On the one hand, things became too crowded for the family in Berlin during the Corona period. Another driving force was “the war situation, which feels much closer in Berlin.” “I wanted to offer my five-year-old son, who now asks a lot of questions, the chance to move to his second home, where it is simply more peaceful.” It was “one of the best decisions I’ve made in 22 years.”

But every now and then the couple swaps their life in the Spanish countryside for glamour. In March 2023, the two made an elegant appearance at the Oscars in Los Angeles. Daniel Brühl is part of the successful team behind the German Netflix war drama “Nothing New in the West”, which was nominated for nine Oscars and won four times. The actor and other colleagues accepted the trophy in the “Best Foreign Language Film” category on the stage of the Dolby Theater. He brought his wife with him to Hollywood as emotional support.

Daniel Brühl and Felicitas Rombold have been a couple since 2010 and married since 2016. The actor only revealed this to the public two years later. The couple’s two sons were born in 2016 and 2020.
