David Gilmour’s action against Roger Waters that deepens the rift between the former Pink Floyd

David Gilmour maintains his long feud with his former bandmate pink floyd, Roger Watersby sharing a documentary detailing cases of alleged anti-Semitism by the latter.

Gilmour retweeted a post about a documentary titled The Dark Side Of Roger Watersoriginally published by the Campaign Against Antisemitism, which produced the project.

In the clip shared by Gilmour, two of Waters’ former collaborators recall their experiences working with the musician and instances in which they allegedly saw him make anti-Semitic comments.

The first was by Waters’ former saxophonist, Nortber Statchelwho told the BBC journalist John Ware about a time when the Pink Floyd musician supposedly imitated a stereotypically poor Polish woman as a reference to his Jewish ancestors. He also recalled another instance in which the bassist expressed his outrage at a restaurant that served “Jewish food.”

The second of the former collaborators who appear in the video was Bob Ezrinthe music producer who helped direct the band’s 1979 album, “The Wall”. In the clip, Erzin recalls Waters talking about the band’s then-manager, Brian Morrisonand claims he described Morrison as a “fucking Jew.”

Roger Waters’ response against the documentary that treats him as anti-Semitic

Rogers spoke out against the documentary with a post on his official website, dismissing the project as “a weak and unapologetic piece of propaganda”.

“The film totally distorts and misrepresents my views on the State of Israel and its political ideology, Zionism. It is based on a definition of anti-Semitism that considers criticizing Israel to be inherently anti-Semitic. and assumes that Zionism is an essential element of Jewish identity. These views, clearly shared by the host and the two interviewees, are widely disputed by many, including many Jews.”

He also stated that “indiscriminately mixes things I supposedly said or did at different times and in different contexts, in an effort to present me as an anti-Semite, without any real basis”.
