Model: London museum plans exhibition on Naomi Campbell

She made history in 1988 as the first black model to appear on the cover of Paris’ Vogue. An exhibition will now be dedicated to her special career.

Model Naomi Campbell (53) gets a big exhibition in London. The Victoria and Albert Museum said this was intended to highlight the British icon’s incomparable career, which has spanned four decades.

After Campbell was discovered at the age of 15, she quickly became known in the industry. In 1988, she made history as the first black model to appear on the cover of Paris Vogue.

The exhibition is scheduled to open in summer 2024 and will also show pieces from Campbell’s haute couture collection. Campbell was quoted as saying she was honored that the museum asked her to share her life with the world in clothes.
