The Julio Bocca Foundation has just celebrated the First Interdisciplinary Dance Festival 2023 (FID). The institution marked the closing of its official celebrations within the framework of its celebration for the 25th anniversary of its foundation, with a multifaceted event at the ND/Ateneo Theater. The celebration included special academic cycles and programs for its students from the entire official network of Approved Studies who traveled to Buenos Aires from different regions of the country and abroad. Added to the academic offer was a Masterclass by teacher Eleonora Cassano, a meeting with Julio Bocca that allowed participants to meet the famous dancer and a gala that brought together 21 studios of the 60 that make up the network from all over Argentina and Latin America. To illustrate his life and career, Bocca used a video that reviewed his career to the present and then said: “It took 25 years for me to sit here and be able to convey what I was able to do.” He expressed his desire to hold similar meetings again with the students, along with their fathers, mothers or relatives of young dancers. Bocca aspires to transmit his experience as a son, contestant and dance star, qualities and values that were highlighted by Carlos Repetto, general director of the Julio Bocca Foundation.
