The star designer likes to stay in Berlin. “I love the city,” says Jean Paul Gaultier. However, the Frenchman is trying to avoid one thing.
The French star designer Jean Paul Gaultier (71) has a lot to offer Berlin. “I love the city. When I have a project in Berlin, it’s fabulous to be there and enjoy life. Berlin is a very young city,” Gaultier told the German Press Agency.
The way of living in the capital is pleasant and inspiring. “I think you can also eat very well in Berlin, which is very important,” said the fashion designer. He then tries not to eat in a French restaurant.
Gaultier is involved in the costume and stage design for the new show “Falling | In Love” at Berlin’s Friedrichstadt-Palast. The play celebrates its premiere on Wednesday.
