Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting from FC Bayern Munich has tested positive for the corona virus, as the club has confirmed.
After professional soccer player Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (32) had to be in quarantine because of contact with a person infected with corona, he has now tested positive for the virus. His club, FC Bayern Munich, confirmed on November 24th that the athlete had tested positive for the corona virus.
After consultation with the health department, Choupo-Moting is said to be in domestic isolation. According to a statement, the footballer is doing “well under the circumstances”. According to media reports, the 32-year-old is allegedly not vaccinated.
Several players already in quarantine
In addition to Choupo-Moting, Serge Gnabry (26), Jamal Musiala (18) and Michael Cuisance (22) recently had to be quarantined because of a contact, as the club announced last Sunday. A person from the “immediate environment of the team” had tested positive. Gnabry and Musiala are said to have been vaccinated in the meantime, according to information from “Kicker” and Bayerischer Rundfunk.

The two fully vaccinated players Niklas Süle (26) and Josip Stanisic (21), who recently tested positive, are now back in training after being isolated from the corona, as FC Bayern reports.
