Suzanne Somers is dead. The US actress died one day before her 77th birthday surrounded by her family.
The US actress Suzanne Somers, who became known with series such as “Jack of Hearts with Two Ladies” and “A Strong Family”, is dead. Somers died on Sunday at the age of 76, US media unanimously reported, citing her spokesman – one day before her 77th birthday. She died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, a statement said. Around 20 years ago, Somers made a breast cancer diagnosis public; 20 years earlier, the actress had already suffered from skin cancer.

Back in July, she told Entertainment Tonight: “I’ve been living with cancer since my 20s. And every time that little bastard shows up, I fight back.”
Born in 1946 in the US state of California, Somers worked as a model from an early age and soon got her first roles in film and television. She made her breakthrough in the 1970s, especially with series such as “Jack of Hearts with Two Ladies”, “The 6 Million Dollar Man” and “A Strong Family”. Somers also wrote more than 25 books.
