Victoria Swarovski: “For me, every outfit has meaning”

Victoria Swarovski loves discovering new trends. “Fashion has always been a great passion,” she explains in the fashion interview.

“I love mixing high street brands with designer key pieces such as bags and shoes,” reveals Victoria Swarovski (30) in an interview. The “Let’s Dance” presenter is once again the campaign face for this year’s fall/winter collection from Lascana. “Fashion has always been a great passion of mine,” enthuses the 30-year-old and reveals her perfect fashion look.

You are a real all-round talent: presenter, singer, model and designer – in which area do you feel most comfortable?

Victoria Swarovski: I love always trying new things and jumping into the deep end. Presenting is what I enjoy most at the moment. Being on stage and entertaining people was my biggest dream from a young age. I can’t wait for the new season of “Let’s Dance” to start. My seventh as a presenter, but it’s still a very special time. Making music continues to be a great passion of mine. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to go to the studio and write. My schedule is super full and unfortunately doesn’t allow for this too often.

As a model, you are currently presenting this year’s fall/winter collection from Lascana. How important is fashion to you?

Swarovski: Fashion has always been a great passion of mine and is therefore important to me. For me, every outfit has something to do with it, I would never combine them so completely at random. I also regularly follow the shows in Paris and Milan and love trying out new trends, although I wouldn’t join in with everyone. Sometimes it’s crazy what designers come up with every season just to stand out. I think at some point you should have found your style and no longer follow everything.

At the beginning of October, Fashion Week in Paris once again provided lots of highlights. Would you also like to conquer the catwalk?

Swarovski: I was able to get a taste of the catwalk a year ago at the big Lascana fashion show on a fashion boat during Berlin Fashion Week. I was allowed to wear a dress in purple and black that was specially designed for me and I enjoyed every moment. That was really great fun and definitely wouldn’t be the last time. A big dream would be to design a collection yourself and then present it on a big runway. I really enjoy modeling itself. I love taking photos and videos – be it for magazines or as testimonials.

Over 540,000 fans now follow you on Instagram. For many you are a fashion role model. Where do you get inspiration for your style?

Swarovski: Very different – I love mixing high street brands with designer key pieces such as bags and shoes. You don’t always have to wear designer brands from head to toe. I think the perfect fashion look is one in which you simply feel comfortable and confident.

Which fashion trends are particularly popular in autumn and winter?

Swarovski: Knitwear is really on trend again this season, large scarves and versatile coats that can be combined with different outfits. And then dresses, skirts or jackets made of tweed and bouclé are really popular again. The styles can be perfectly combined with sneakers for the day or with high shoes for the evening and always ensure a stylish look.

What do you like to wear in the cold months?

Swarovski: I’m Tyrolean, it gets really cold here in the winter. Of course you have to wrap up warm. A thick down jacket that goes over the bottom, a scarf, hat and gloves are the minimum. Moon boots are always good too. They’re really warm. You shouldn’t freeze, especially on your feet.

How do we not only manage to stay warm, but also look well styled?

Swarovski: First of all, it depends on the occasion. For skiing, it must first and foremost be functional. At an event in the snow, as usual, I would round off my outfit with the right bag, jewelry and other accessories such as sunglasses.

What plans have you made for the rest of the year?

Swarovski: At the beginning of December I will be hosting the RTL show “Disney 100 – The Big Anniversary Show” together with Thomas Gottschalk. I will also be watching the Formula 1 finale in Abu Dhabi.
