The college spin-off of The Boys is halfway through its season debut on the streaming platform.
Amazon Prime Video renewed Gene Vits university spin-off of The Boys, for a second season. The news comes midway through Season 1 as audiences prepare for the finale on November 3. Episode 5, titled “Jumanji,” will be released on the streaming platform on Friday.

Amazon has yet to release any data on the series’ performance so far. It hasn’t been a month since the first three episodes premiered on September 29, meaning the series still wouldn’t have appeared on Nielsen’s streaming charts. More data may be available in the coming weeks, if the series reaches the streaming Top 10.


What Gen V is about
Set at America’s only university exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gene V explores the lives of hormonal and competitive superpowers as they test their physical, sexual and moral limits, competing for the highest ranking in school.
The cast of the series includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London ThorDerek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi. Gen V also features guest stars Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter, as well as appearances by Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and PJ Byrne, reprising their roles from The Boys.
Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Nelson Cragg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe and Michaela Starr Also They serve as executive producers of the spin-off series.
