The 58-year-old talks about the post-processing of photos that is common today. She says: “I think filters and retouching are the devil.”
The model Linda Evangelista is very bothered by the image editing that is common today after photo shoots. “I think post-production is the devil. I think filters and retouching are the devil,” explained the 58-year-old, who was one of the most successful top models in the world in the 80s and 90s, on the talk show “The View”.
“Everything is corrected later, and then all the magic, the soul is gone,” she added. No matter whether a model’s eyelash slips or a button falls off today, the message is always: “Don’t worry, we’ll correct it later,” said the Canadian.
There was also cheating in her photo shoots in the past. Models tightened their hips with tightly laced belts, and light reflectors made bags under their eyes disappear. “But they didn’t retouch the photo. We got it perfect on set, and what you saw was what you got.”
